Supporting reintegration, restoring dignity

About Reduce Recidivism Ghana:
The Reduce Recidivism Project Ghana is a nonprofit initiative focused on supporting the successful reintegration of ex-offenders into society, a crucial but often neglected aspect of criminal justice reform.
Founded by Tracy Frimpong in January 2025, the project supports the reformation and reintegration of juveniles in correctional centers through hands-on vocational training, life skills development, and mentorship that foster self-reliance and restore dignity. Their work proves that public safety and second chances go hand in hand.
Why We’re Featuring This Work:
Reintegration marks the final stage of the justice process, and yet, it remains the most under-supported. Many individuals released from prison in Ghana face stigma, poverty, and limited opportunities, increasing their risk of reoffending. This project not only focuses on this critical stage, it targets young offenders, our future generations.
Why This Project Stands Out:
✅ Providing vocational and entrepreneurial training to young offenders
✅ Raising public awareness to reduce stigma and foster acceptance
✅ Partnering with state institutions and communities for structured reintegration
The project isn’t just helping young people avoid detention again, it’s helping them reclaim a future.
An Active And Dedicated Force For Reform:
The Reduce Recidivism Project reminds us that justice doesn’t end at conviction. It must extend to how society receives returning citizens. By creating pathways for dignity and productivity, the project is actively reshaping the way we think about punishment, redemption, and public safety.
